Extending Take Outs

Posted by Nina Robinson at Sunday, December 12, 2010 0 comments
How far is too far when extending goodwill  to make your clients feel special when coming for their Consultations ?  Rolling out the red carpet, vendors gifts, papparazi , china and wine....
Your clients should always feel like they are your only clients that you have when they come into contact with you from the greeting at the door, offering a snack, and comfortable meeting place.  Excellent customer service is the first impression that your clients should receive and enjoy if it's done correctly.  As professionals that should be one of our signature brands , is to make the client feel special and welcomed in our house(place of business). I believe many that are in the Event Planning business will agree to this and will also settle on obtaining that client and receiving new business based on the excellent customer service shared on that particular day.
We create our clients take out boxes full of snacks, to either enjoy eating during the consultation or to take out and enjoy at a later time.
Please take a look at the pictures below and maybe you can create this for your clients !

Coming Attractions for Full-figures

Posted by Nina Robinson at Tuesday, November 30, 2010 0 comments
I am so elated at how my life and business are escalating like never before !! I've been hired to write articles for the Akron Examiner Magazine for their Style & Fashion. This is the article that got me the position !

Full figure women who struggle to fit in their wedding gowns because there aren’t enough designers creating high fashion gowns for the shapely. Many are tired of shopping at community stores such as, David’s Bridal where all plus size women share the same designs and style. Many anxious brides, who want variety, will order online. Beautiful gowns stating one size, when opening the box with much excitement and anticipation, but to their demise the gown is either too big or not big enough. How can the brand, style, size and color increase with the shapely figures in mind?

The community stores such as David’s Bridal and Alfred Angelo may save money and time to the brides due to location and substantial savings caused by their direct buying for bridal gowns. With David’s Bridal increasing their line of designer gowns by world renowned bridal designer Vera Wang, may have helped the same old boring gowns that many community shops have catered to for a very long time. It has helped slow down costly ordering from online bridal shops that most plus-size women have dreamed of wearing all of their lives and now can have an opportunity of wearing something beautiful and new right in there community. Are many brides willing to pay circumstantial amounts of money to have the “Princess” for a day look and feeling? Absolutely, many bridal shops will have to increase their lines to accommodate plus-size statures or lose out on a billionaire dollar industry, for not catering to plus-size figures throughout the world.

Anne Hathaway the next Julia Roberts !

Posted by Nina Robinson at Tuesday, November 23, 2010 0 comments
Julia Roberts second most memorable quirky funny movie 1999 'Runaway Bride’, where she has left a string of fiancés at the altar. What I love about this movie was Julie Roberts’s perkiness and excitement throughout the entire movie. She knew what love was and wanted to have love in her heart and forever in her life. But, it would cost her giving everything up in spite of her apprehension towards marriage. She decides that love over fear was the best ever and as we all know how the ending went, happily ever after.

How does Anne Hathaway tie into all of this? This movie has the similar theme, and the same spirit as her predecessor Julia Roberts. Her nose, eyes and her beautiful wide smile that light up the screen. I enjoy watching Anne Hathaway movies just because she is the girl next door, such as Julia Roberts beginning days and that's how she warmed our hearts in 'Pretty Woman' and ‘Steel Magnolias’. She is our new leading actress that graces the screen with extraordinary talents and beauty.

Anne Hathaway & Jake Gillenhall new movie 'Love And Other Drugs’, make sure you go and see it.

Why You Need to Charge MORE for Your Services

Posted by Nina Robinson at Thursday, October 21, 2010 0 comments
As, I stated before, we will bring  very important information, skills, services, style to our readers daily. We feel that this is very important for business owners to know their company self worth and how to display your talents, skills and receive recompense for your unique skills.
READ Below !

Why You Need To Charge MORE For Your Services by Liz Dennery Sanders

I know many of you probably cringed when you read the title of this article. You might say, "In this economy, there's no way I can get away with charging higher fees." If you want to position yourself as a leading authority in your industry, you MUST charge more for the value you provide. If you're constantly lowering your fees or giving discounts in order to keep up with the competition, then you're merely positioning yourself as a commodity. And that's not a good thing. You'll never stand out if you're just one of many doing the exact same thing - offering yourself up as a bargain and vying for your potential clients' dollars.

You must focus on value, not dollars. It's not about the price, it's about the results that your clients get from working with you. When you position yourself as the person with the most effective solution, your clients will likely pay anything to solve their most pressing issues. Clients want a price they can justify, so when you do a great job of showcasing the results, the evidence and your unique abilities, the justification becomes a lot easier for them.

Here's why you need to charge more for your services:

Your perceived value will be greater. We've all heard the clichés, "If it's expensive, it must be good," "You get what you pay for," or "Quality doesn't come cheap." Truth is, when you're priced above the market, it's often assumed that you must be good at what you do. Now you just have to deliver on this perception and provide extraordinary value for your clients. You can't just charge high fees and expect the world to come banging down your door. It's your job to communicate your value and showcase the results your clients have achieved. It's your reputation on the line.

Your value will be about results, not time. When you can effectively communicate the value you provide, you will move away from dollars for hours work. If you could solve your client's problem in 10 minutes as opposed to 10 hours, do you think you could charge the same amount for the result? You betcha! Doesn't your client just want her problems solved? Focus on value-based or project-based packages and pricing.

It will position you as an authority in your industry. People assume that experts are paid more than generalists. When you have a true niche and are able to effectively communicate it to your target market, you are creating a greater perceived value for your expertise.

You'll weed out the "drainers, complainers and time suckers." There are people out there who are just looking for the best deal, regardless of the value they receive. Trust me, you don't want this client. They'll monopolize as much of your time as they can get their hands on, complain about your service and will never be satisfied. When you fully understand your value, can communicate it in a compelling manner and charge what you're worth, this type of client won't resonate with you. They'll run the other way and you should thank them for it.

Doubting your fees means you're focused on features, not benefits and results. And clients only want to know what's in it for them. Take time to establish your value before you even talk about price. When a potential client asks you what you charge, respond with another question, "I offer a number of different packages and services depending on your situation. May I ask you a few questions first so that I can assess the best options to share with you?"

People will often pay more than they originally planned once they fully understand exactly what they are getting and can clearly see the results they can achieve from working with you. Don't sell you or your potential client short by focusing on price. Help them to see the magic that will happen once you are working together.

Does Networking Work?

Posted by Nina Robinson at Friday, October 08, 2010 0 comments
Sometimes we feel challenged with networking. I'm too tired to go to this event , and talk to strangers and smile ,no one is calling me back, I'm not receiving any referrals and it’s more work to show up and sell myself to a bunch of strangers whom seem to be uninterested. I'm very shy and not comfortable speaking in front of others.

How many of us who are just starting out in the networking sector feel this exact same way towards networking. Many of us have many different perceptions toward networking, some bad and some good as I listed above. In order for our businesses to succeed, we must make an effort to join social networks such as: Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, Foursquare and LinkedIn. Our second most interactive way of networking is actually going to these events and allowing people to know you're a real person, not just an image. Who can sell your product better than you? No one!

Going to networking events may open doors to new relationships and in turn referrals. I have a problem with speaking in front of people, so much so, that I would hire people to speak at presentations for me and end up having to explain my entire business anyways during the presentations. How silly was that? Well, I had like an anxiety of fear with speaking in front of people for years. I have gotten a lot better with this, so what I do now is read the newspaper before I leave, read something that seems to be profound and when I'm approached, I would bring up something from the news or something I read to keep the conversation going. This opens up the door for the person to say, "Nina, what is it that you do?"

Now, I can explain who, what, where and how!

I hope this blog will help some who feel networking isn’t for them, because it is for everyone who want the world to know about their business.

Posted by Nina Robinson at Thursday, September 23, 2010 0 comments
Our Community Salutes of Cleveland(COCS) is a non-profit organization created to recognize and honor graduating high school students (and their parents) who plan to enlist in the armed services after graduation.

Local citizens, veteran’s organizations, and private businesses donate their time and money to support events sponsored by OCSSJ, including its annual Recognition Ceremony in May 2011.

Please stay tune for further updates for future events and get ready to share your stories  about your friends, family, relative, husband, wife that served in the United States Army, Marine, ROTC, Air Force and Navy Seals.

I am honored to be apart of the planning process of this event in Cleveland,Ohio. I appreciate the young sacrificing their lives to keep us safe here in America! I know that there are many of you that feel the same way. So, please get ready to celebrate this special occasion with us and many others!

Take Flight !

Posted by Nina Robinson at Sunday, August 08, 2010 0 comments
I was sitting on my porch enjoying the fresh cool breeze of the early morning air as I do every morning. I saw a bird find a piece of broken bread and he began to eat and enjoy his morning breakfast. As the bird was enjoying his morning breakfast his friends thought they could have some of the bread, also. As we all know birds weigh 2 - 3 ounces but have the strength and mentality of “Get your own”! Well, we all know what happened next, a fight over the piece of broken bread began.

The bird would finally get tired of the fighting and picked up his broken piece of bread and took flight, but couldn’t get very far due to his size and the weight of the bread weighing him down to only a limited short distance. His competitors would follow and new ones joined in with the fight and the bird would take flight again and after the third attempt on his flight he lost the bread. Once he landed, he looked down and saw that there wasn’t any more bread. He gazed the area and could not find what he was looking for on the ground.

There are so many people today who have found success and when asked to help or to share the knowledge they have obtained with their competitors, instead they take flight with it all. Make an effort to become someone’s Mentor or take time out to give back and share. We find that many do not want to allocate and take flight with their knowledge and skills. I think we should ask ourselves do we want to have the same mentally as a bird and not allocate our knowledge and encourage each other, or choose to lose it all and wonder where it all went. www.maximumeventsdesigns.org
